Wow! This is amazing! Keep it up!

Do you use FL Studio or ableton? OR logic? O protools? etc...

Two things:

The intros/bits:
THESE ARE INCREDIBLE. I really could take tips from you. The piano etc. is perfect, the sound design is spot-on. The pauses are just right. The only thing is that the melody is not mixed in well, and the note it tends to rest on is not the right note. Overall, though this is good.

The Drops:
The drops, while respectable, are not as amazing as the intros. I wouldn't call this dubstep. They are a bit too chill IMO and too repetitive. The lead overall takes up too much of the EQ range, and it is SUPER REPETITIVE.

3 stars for the intro, -2 for the drop, snare, repetitiveness, and lead.

TrickshotMusic responds:

Yes this was when i couldnt mix as good, ive gotten respectifully better at mixing at this point. This isnt Dubstep, but they dont have an option for Future Bass so ive just decided to have this as dubstep, This could be considered Melodic Dubstep if i add some growls, saws, ect.
I did mean for the melody to take much of the eq, but i do understand that its to much. Repititive. YEEPPPPPPPP. the secodn drop is so much better than the first and i made it like that becuase it was super repitive.
Also im note good at making melodys and keys and all that other bullshit but im learning :)

But aye thanks for the review man, I really apreciate the support :)

I feel like it's a bit too repetitive and 'generic." Overall, though, it does sound really good.
Do you use FL Studio? Or Ableton?

TrickshotMusic responds:

Me and Froej both use FL Studio 12

Also thanks for your review.

This is really good!
I like the overall thing, it is a tiny bit repetitive, and the snare at 00:30 is not the right pitch.
A few things of the wubs: do you have serum? If not, it is a good investment.

VorticityMusic responds:

Yeah I do have Serum, and thanks for the review! A fair few sounds in this we're actually presets from MDK's Serum preset pack Limitless.

I wish I could be as good as you. what DAW do you use? I use FL.

Geoplex responds:

I'm also using FL Studio. You can be as good as (or better than) me - but it takes time to develop skill. So keep at it my dude

This is a really calm, chill track. Nice job overall!
A few things I would say is that the snare is a bit too short and isn't the right pitch. The mixing is a bit off in the intro.

The build, however, is completely perfect!

Umm... As for the drop... Can I ask you what you were trying to accomplish with the key change? The key change just seems a little random and a little jarring.

Oh. and another thing, the white noise is too loud IMO.

A mixing idea:
Try using different samples overall if you aren't happy with the mix. Sometimes, no matter how many EQs you put on something, it still isn't the right timbre. A different sample might just fit into the mix better.

EQ Pocketing: In the first bit, the organ/pads take up a lot of one frequency on the EQ overall. Try some pockets :-)

If this sounds like a load of jargon and gibberish to you, you may want to learn yourself on recording and audio design. I 100% can promise it will help out. Like I said before, this track is good. The organ/pads create a cool ambient effect, but the mixing and drop could use a bit of work.
Hope this helps ;D

Synfang responds:

...TBH, I don't think much of key changes. Probably not for the better. :/
Yeah, I agree about the white noise. Frankly, I don't like having white noise in my tracks, but it feels empty at some points in my songs without it, plus I've been advised by some of my bigger fans to include it. I'd have it quieter, except I myself don't notice it otherwise.

I actually hate having to put white noise into my tracks. Believe it or not, to make a long story short, white noise has...shall we say, adverse effects on me. But I'm one to put others before myself, so I include it anyway.

I like this a lot. It is a little repetitive, but overall its amazing.

ActualElf responds:

Thanks man! I worked hard on this track and I'm really glad you enjoyed <3

This is ok, but the mix needs a bit of work, and it is a little too repetitive. You use caustic?
Don't.

Skiddle responds:

You don't decide on what I use. And as I said in the last review: this is a bootleg, not a remix. A bootleg has awful mixing and is often rushed. I can use whatever software I find I like.

Its Ok, but it is repetitive and needs a bit more added to it.

ImProper responds:

Thanks for the criticism! i felt it need a change up too, but also felt everything i tried to transition to didnt really add to the song. It felt like i was changing it up just for the sake of changing it. For now i've decided to just keep it short since it is repetitive.

I can hear the FL Kick :P
Nice ideas here, but it needs a lot of finetuning. Here are my ideas:
That snare is too loud.
The drums are REALLY repetitive.
The lead and riser in the build are not particularly tension-y.

Overall, the drop needs plenty of things added to it, like arps, back melodies, chords.
I like where you are going, but It needs some work.

bACONMusicUploads responds:

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I'm not too good at making music because although I knew this needed work, I didn't know what to do about it. Tbh I don't even know what half those things you mentioned are, like arps, back melodies, chords... I'll definitely work on it, and do some research. Thanks!
