That drop is reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally cool. whomp whomp whomp whomp. classic. intro needs work mixing wise.

,

quite over compressed and thus distorted. if i hadn't heard anything else from you, i would think that you don't know what you're doing, yet you are consistently excellent, so idk what happened here

you recorded it on a midi controller

impressive

why?

Troisnyx responds:

Because it feels a lot more natural and less time-consuming for me to actually play it.

Not all that bad. The riffs are actually quite interesting. The mixing isn't great, the fact that you have 3+ guitar parts running at the same time and they're all in the same general frequencies makes it muddy. Plus, sometimes the guitar is a little bit offbeat, so it just clashes and burns. I'd recommend cranking the metronome and taking eleven-hundred takes until your fingers bleed. Not fun, but its what I do. I have the same problem though. The drums aren't punchy or rhythmically interesting enough to justify existing, add some hi-hats and interesting percussion, or alternatively make them super punchy to bring them to the foreground.

What I really like (and what is a common theme with you) is how you use the guitar parts, especially the high end ones, and add reverb (possibly delay?) to make them sound like pads and fill space. Cool!

FOUNDDEADINLA responds:

Yeah I usually have multiple reverbs and delays and choruses distortions, etc on some of my guitar parts to get some nice textures. And thanks for the mix critiques, and ill clean this one up before the final album version :)

Undertale vibes

I just realized how old this is xD

wtf is going on here

Scouted ya.

I do have some recommendations. Overall its not bad, but there's no melody to carry the chords. Also at times like 1:40 - 1:50 there's a weird kick frequency. For a tune like this, I would double the speed of the drums.

COOCAII responds:

Ight bro will do. Haven't looked at music in a while but I may try again. Thank you <3

Sometimes frequencies are too loud and need EQing. The snare is a wierd choice for the song - but I understand that good samples are hard to come by.

In terms of music theory and melodies, this is masterful.

mfw you need to list out 5 bpms lmao.
Not a bad remix. The kick is a bit too high-endy in the drops for me. The future bass chords and lead are pretty sick ngl. I feel like you could've done more rhythmically, weird chords and strange percussion etc. Woulda been cool.

FuzionTech responds:

true..

They're all decent. Most have mixing problems. Track 2 has music theory problems. Tsunami is kinda sick. Kick needs more power. Track 4's kick needs more power. Track 5 is cool - I would accentuate the sidechain. Track 6 is a nice outro. Hihat variation tho.

Vortonox responds:

thx

for track 2 I tried to make a melody to fit the chords and all I did was to follow the bass notes (c4, g#3, d#4, a#3).

he/him or they/them idc
